Ferry Road Condominiums

The project mandate was to create a new condominium development on the rare water front of the small affluent town of Sag Harbor Long Island that would be appropriate as both an extension of the town’s urban edge to the water and cater to the needs of the boating community anticipated as its primary inhabitant. Starting in the spring of 2006 we worked closely with the developer, East End Development LLC, and the town leaders. We began by looking at the industrial past of the town as the second largest port in the northeast during the turn of the century and turned to the tradition of the industrial wharf architecture for inspiration. With 60,000 square feet, 22 units with 22 associated boat slips, a beach and park given over to the public, the structure and site will be developed as a lively connection of the town to its currently neglected water front.
