Endless House
Incorporated’s explorations in modularity and systematic design have brought the firm full circle. What began with a house design, Sixteen Doors, and moved through a series of small-scale products has returned the company to residential architecture. Incorporated is now designing fully independent residential units that can be integrated in any combination depending on a client’s desired program. Units will be differentiated by use - sleeping areas, bathrooms, kitchens, entertaining areas - and each unit will be equivalent in size. Unlike other modular homes, each of these units will be fully self-sufficient; they can be used as free-standing structures or linked together in any combination dictated by the client’s needs. It is possible, therefore, that no two Incorporated modular homes will have the same footprint - they will only share interchangeable parts.
